A Reflection

Where do you look for a reflection?

In a mirror, on a shiny spoon, on a car window.

What do you see in that reflection?

Is it you, a bird or another person?

Do you stand a certain way to see it?

What do you think of when you look at it?

Sadness, joy, happiness or maybe even  abandoned.

Let's take a replica of a tree.

Is it in many vibrant colors or just plain black and white?

Why do I ask such specific questions you say.

Well, it is all in perspective.

You don't see what I see and I don't see what you see.

So we must ask or answers will never be given in the way that they should.

Like, why is the sky blue and the grass green?

I don't know is an answer. Not a very great answer but still a response.

I can make assumptions but we all know what happens when we assume.

Don't tell me you never knew that you make an ass out of you and me of assume!

Now then, you have learned something today.

Yes, we can observe how someone's day went but never assume.

Thoughts speak louder than actions I must say.

Therefore I must ask, Do you see a reflection now?

If so, what is it that appears?
