Red, White, and Blue

Location

Dear Miss Amercia,

Congratulations on your win,

don't let them get you down.

No use in trying to fit in,

I mean look...you wear a crown.

Did you think I'd talk about your race,

your color, or your creed?

The people that still care for that,

need a lesson in how you bleed.

No matter where I cut you at,

or what I cut you with.

You'll bleed red, cry blue, and smile white,

like a flag on a starry night.

Don't let these haters get you down.

They just don't understand.

That love and hate are just two things

that don't go hand in hand.

Congratulations on your win,

although you'll never see

this poem that I wrote for you

on the Eastern Shining Sea.

I know it's not for everyone,

but just who makes the call

on which of your small sampling size

fits the "American" doll?

Just look around and you might find

a shock that's plain to see.

Not a single person looks like you,

or her, or him, or me.

We're all unique in our own ways

I know this to be true.

Just let me tell you one thing, Miss

we bleed Red, White, and Blue.
