So many classes were wasted
Only to look at her.
Her hair, long curly, and blonde
Gave her plenty of my attention.
I can still imagine
Jade and her jade-green eyes
As well as her pure white smile.
She’d wear the most interesting outfits
That did well in complementing
her light brown skin.
It makes sense why she won
Best smile, best hair, and best fashion sense.
With her cute military hat
And bright rain boots
Which she wore regardless of weather.
However, most outgoing personality?
Certainly not her or I.
One could easily find her
reading a book, never to look up.
Sitting at the corner
of an empty table.
Speaking to her took great skill,
For me at least, but it still
Didn’t get me anywhere.
Chatting with yourself would be
Better than talking to her.
Then you know there will be a response.
When I said hi, she’d go bye-bye.
So I stopped my pursuit,
As painful as it was.
But somehow, in the end,
This jade-eyed girl became my friend.
