Romans 12:1  New English Translation

Consecration of the Believer’s Life

12 Therefore I exhort you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a sacrifice—alive, holy, and pleasing to God—which is your reasonable service.

Recognition

If Christ is my Master and my body a living sacrifice

I am not longer responsible, if I live in total obedience

The battle is the Lord’s and all I do is exercise faith

For eating, sleeping, and drinking is not life’s experience

Death is pre-eminently a progressive matter

Relentlessly devouring anything in its path

It can strike at any without really selecting

The victims, which are caught up close or afar

God Himself is more precious than the gifts He bestows

Do we really appreciate Him for The One He really is?

Or! Do we like His blessings more in giving us security?

Do we like His gifts more than His lovely Blessedness?
