Reaping

2 Timothy 1:7 New English Translation

7 For God did not give us a Spirit of fear but of power and love and self-control.

Reaping

Can a mind be ruled, let us say, my emotions?

Does it change the course of what it can’t accept?

That would make a difference from what I so perceive.

It would be like life on its own, and that is not a fact.

“Mind over matter” is a phrase that then surfaces vaguely.

I thought the mind to be where stuff gets sliced and diced.

Mostly bad and little good for the mind has no perception.

Of right and wrong, just what’s gone, but surely not paradise?

The mind has no feeling, or that is what I think.

It has no comprehension of what love is all about

It has only “facts” and figures assembled from the past.

Of what we call intelligence and about that, there’s no doubt.

So what we feed into the mind has to do with our will.

We decide on what we read and what the mind should know.

Or at least apart as a major part of it as we are expending

In the issues of our “comeliness” as we reap whatever we sow
