Reaping

Reaping

2nd Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a Spirit of fear

but of power and love and of sound mind”

Can the mind be ruled ... let us say by emotions?

Can it change the course ... of what we can’t accept?

Would it make a difference ... from what I do perceive?

Would it be like life on its own ... as a matter of fact?

Mind over matter is the phrase ... that surfaces vaguely.

I thought the mind to be where stuff gets sliced and diced.

Mostly bad and little good ... for the mind has no perception

of right and wrong ... surely not of its own demise.

The mind has no feeling ... it only sense of what we think.

It has no comprehension ... what love is all about.

It has only facts and figures ... assembled from the past.

What we call intelligence and about that there is no doubt.

So what we feed into the mind ... has to do with our will.

We decide on what we read and what the mind should know.

Or at least a part of it ... as we are expanding,

in issues of our comeliness as we reap whatever we sow.
