Reaper

I'll write what you ask me except for the dead.

The last time I heard one, I wept for the dead.

Each trip to the graveyard is exactly the same

"Remember the time I was left for the dead?"

It ran and it ran and I couldn't keep up

While we panted while paying rent for the dead.

It's not just a love song I said to myself:

The Reaper, sent for the dead.
