Real Smile

Have you seen a smile lately?

A real genuine smile?

I have to admit

I slip sometimes

I smile to end a conversation

Just so they'll go away

I shouldn't

But I do

So when I forget about my crooked smile

And laugh with all my teeth

I feel better

Healed almost

As if smiling could be the cure

To everything

So don't go on faking it

Laugh for real

Smile with your whole face

And maybe

Just maybe

You'll start forgetting those fake smiles

And you'll only use your real one
