The real problem

Somewhere in America

there is a teenage girl

she's wearing her favorite shorts

she is screamed at to cover herself

because some boy may be distracted

we say we frown on rape culture

they say it goes both ways

so why are females to focus

of the correct attire?

yes you can wear jeans

no they can't have holes

no you can't wear short shorts

if it really goes both ways

why aren't men told to pull their pants up?

what makes women so susceptible?

we say rape isn't okay,

yet, we perpetuate it

1 in 5 women will be sexually assaulted

yet we don't do anything to change that

except tell our women

walk in lit areas

travel in groups

carry pepper spray

shouldn't we rather teach men,

not to rape?

when we have to fear going out

that's a major problem
