A Ray of Hope

Fri, 10/18/2013 - 21:05 -- Kaelyn

Location

Sun: bright, laughing, happy,
 glowing, dancing to the tune.

Animals: baby, parents, elderly,
 frisking, basking in the warmth.

Life: vibrant, unassumming, innocent
 Filling the world with hope.

The air, brisk and clean and pure,
The water, tranquil, then stormy, but still clear
The land, green and brown and white, soft and inviting
Mother smiles gently, blessing the warm scene.

Sun: hidden, burning, killing
 dying, exploding into spots.

Animals: afraid, fighting, hiding
 scurring, trying to stay alive.

Life: withering, melting, choking
as dark smoke fills lungs and consume hearts.

The human world, encased in war,
Bloody rivers flow through land
As industry smoke smothers the air and sea
Mother cries, angry, grieving, remembering better times.

Sun: calming, softening, reviving
 mild, caressing everyone.

Animals: venturing, hesisitant, unsure
growing, adapting to a new world.

Life: rejuvenating, reaching, rekindling
Renewing slightly differently from way before.

Technology, integrated cleanly to life and nature,
Natural relationships resume once more
Mayhap there is a chance, some hope
To redeem this world, this home, from the depths of fire.
