Rain or Shine

“When it rains, it pours,”

That’s what they always say,

And so far, it seems to be true.

Either the rain comes down in buckets,

Or the sun bears down,

The cloud-full skies are blue.

This ferris wheel ride like life,

Spinning up and down repeat,

Flying up high and scraping the ground.

The rain pours down oceans

Apon me everyday, but today

The sun shines and I’m found

In the rain, in the dark,

Some may find it beautiful,

But I don’t see the appeal.

But today the sun shines

On my face, and I find

The weightless feeling is real.

Bright lights, and a new me

The sun shines, and I feel free.
