Rain

Spontaneously venturing

On a rainy day hike

I never knew, it was you I would like.

Dressed up so warm,

To fend against the storm.

Dancing with you

Feels somewhat childlike.

Drizzle pours down.

But I didn’t care.

It was because I knew,

You would always be there.

Laughing and smiling.

Arguing yet reconciling.

In this, there’s a flair.

Hair soaked wet.

Don’t want to press reset.

Preserved in my mind’s vignette.

Drenched through and through

But I was thinking about you.

Like the sun about the moon.

Sodden with rain droplets.

We get home,

You make me hot chocolate.
