The Rabbit Hole

Stumble out into the wilderness

Collect the garbage that the others have left

Counting the steps until your home

Cling to the path and suddenly you are gone

Are you feeling lost?

Will you live at any cost?

Are you just going to lay

On the forest floor

Hoping for a magic door

Well, I promise you

The rabbit hole won't appear today

Will the corpses of the trees reanimate at dusk

Is this guidance you trust

Painted arrows in the brush

Twisted, gnarling branches steal your thoughts

Are you feeling lost

Will you survive when sanity is gone

Are you just going to admit defeat

Laying on a bed of leaves

Hoping a white rabbit leads the way

I promise you

The rabbit hole won't appear today
