Quest For Grace

Location

Have you ever looked down on a barren land
Searching for the brushstrokes of an unknown hand?

Staring into a sky of robin egg blue
Tracing hairline cracks signaling life anew

Lifting up wings promising the gift of flight
To soar up to the stars twinkling in the night

Diving to the depths past the ships in the sea
Rising with the waves yearning to be free

Flowing with the ink across a blank, white sheet
Staining graceful fingertips, smooth and neat

Framing slender arms in the light of the moon
A delicate dancer twirling to a soft, light tune

Gazing at still water in the quest for grace
The answer is written there, in the reflected face
