Queen of the Beach

Amber in the morning
Amber in the night
Amber was at the beach
In the dark and light

What would she pay
To spend eternity
One with the sand
Soft and silky

Amber left tracks
In that golden sand
To let others after her
Know she loved this land

Yet as the tides came
And carried her print away
She would come back
And reclaim the sand each day

After years of repetition
Of war with the foam
She thought why not make the sea
Her permanent home

So at night she came
To give the sea a drink
And the water changed
From light blue to dark pink
