Every morning he wakes up and wonders
If he will rise to today's challenge
Or just fall under
For the person displayed for you is not who he seems
Inside he hides pain and misery
For his heart is secured in a titanium vault
But don't be alarmed because it is not your fault
But the fault of the person he loved once before
The one who kicked his love right out the door
So now he won't trust, love, and forgive
Because those painful memories are the ones he relives
Until one day he gazed onto beauty
Not matched by words
But something he compared to a song sung by birds
That person broke the safe around his fragile heart
And when it came time to leave they couldn't bear to part
But they now he has learned to trust, love, and forgive
For now those bad were replaced with good ones to relive
And their love turned to beauty
A real work of art
Love not matched by words and I seems to never die
The beauty of their love can be compared to Purple Skies.
