Promise

Location

I’d do anything for you in this world, always there when you need a lift.

 No matter how fast it twirls, God gave me two little girls;

And I consider you a gift, even when life takes a shift.

No matter what the world hurls, be sure I’ll never quit.

I’ll never sit, back watching life’s tornado swirl;

I’m picking up the pieces quick and it’s all for you girls.

Mommy’s ready to battle it, even if it’s the weight of the world;

I’m going to handle it; I’ll do anything I can,

I’ve got this candle lit; I’m not going out with the wind;

I’m ready to face all challenges like a champion.

I’d walk a million miles, climb a mountain or swim a sea.

Two beautiful smiles, cause god knows that’s all I need.

I’d go to the end of the earth, no matter how much it hurts,

No matter how much it takes, if I can give birth;

I can be sure to give thanks, I know your worth.

Know I’d go to all lengths, working till I’m face first in the dirt;

To be sure you go after your dreams, you’ll always come first.

I’m giving you both roots and wings, my beautiful birds;

Sweet victory sings and even when my backs burnt bad.

I’m giving you both the shirts off my back, no matter how much it hurts;

Your needs come first, it will always be like that.

You’re the only two that’s important to me and fortunately;

You’re the very air I breathe, the fire under my feet,

That’s got me scorching for the lead, no disappointments I’ll succeed.

You’ll never be alone, I’m being honest.

I’m your mommy I am your home, that’s a promise.

Ill guide you to open doors, even when you’re on your own.

If you’re thrown from your horse, or my names written in stone;

I’ll be there on your course, when your heart is torn;

Or if you ever come up short, on the bible I have sworn.

If you’re ever out of sorts, mommies always give more;

That’s what were here for, there is no keeping score.

I will chase away any trace of misfortune, because you’re important.

And more than anybody else, you need to love yourself.

That’s important, and always remind yourself that wealth,

Doesn’t mean your fortunate, only family and health;

Is worth a fortune and that’s the only wealth that’s important.

I just need you to know, in life no matter where you go;

You have no limits but remember in your soul,

Aim well and focus on each goal, be sure to take it slow;

Your choices will always have consequences.

Just remember most of all I’m in this for the long haul;

Which means forever, and even after forever is long gone you’ll have this letter.

So as god and you all as my witnesses, this is my promise to my princesses.
