Profound Question, No Answer

(poems go here) As I sit here, looking at you,
I know I’ve never felt anything like this.
Staring into those sweet baby blues,
Dreaming of my last first kiss.
Your fingers laced through each of mine
In the utmost perfect fashion,
Reciting a poem, line by line,
Each word said with boundless passion.
Those yearning eyes ask questions;
They leave me speechless, yet at ease.
My heart swells with awoken compassion,
Praying this feeling will never cease.
Your touch ignites a spark unknown
And begins something deep down, like a war.
This seed inside is vast, has slowly grown,
But is it simply lust, or something much, much more?
