Pretty Skinny

Location

I've been small all my life, but never questioned it or had any thoughts about it until I entered high school. Appearantly I was 4 feet 9 inches, too short and weighed 79 lbs soaking wet. The other kids thought it was a little weird to see a middle schooler in high school. It wasn't until my 10th grade year in high school that I learned I will never be merely pretty. Pretty smart, pretty talented, but never defined to one word. Society says that girls can only think "pretty, skinny, pretty, skinny, pretty, skinny." If not, you're considered awkward, different, and even ugly. So, here's some tips on how to please those around you.. #1, DON'T! You are too unique to let the perceptions of others change you. Your have the most amazing body ever! Nobody has one like yours, so why copy someone else's? You have an incredible mind, which houses thoughts even Einstein could only dare to imagine. Why dumb those thoughts down to the basic thoughts of "pretty, skinny, pretty, skinny, pretty, skinny, pretty, skinny"?  You were born to be different, not to follow the rudementary trends of others who think perfection is "pretty, skinny, pretty, skinny, pretty, skinny PRETTY, SKINNY", NEWS FLASH! Perfection is impossible. However, you will always be perfectly imperfect. Your flaws, your fears and everything inbetween are what makes you, you. So dont think how society wants you to. Instead, think "powerful, unique, beuatiful"... Think for yourself.
