Precious Gift

The gypsy gave me a precious gift

A stone of azure blue

The colour matched your lovely eyes

it made me think of you

I asked for the moons blessing

as she rose so bright and full

I asked for her silver

and a rain charm of precious pearl

I asked for shing gold

in the night of darkest moon

I asked her for her bounty

when she waxed full and bloomed

The moon she is my mother

For she lights my way home

She comforts me at midnight

when I am all alone
