Prayers for a Safe Return

Soldiers of rainbow uniforms

Marching for freedom

Fighting for their existence

Trading closets for caskets

Skeletons no longer a metaphor

White lies stain scarlet

Prayers for a safe return

Covered in bloodstains

A mother’s mourning

A fallen son
