Porcelain Doll
I watch helplessly as they toss you.
Shake you, rattle you, abuse you.
I watch you fall;
They let you fall.
Shatter to pieces, they do nothing at all.
They poke at the pieces, continue their play
It’s a game to them. It might last all day.
But slowly, they dwindle,
And leave you in the dirt.
Give me your pieces
I’ll try to fix you.
I won’t let you fall,
I’ll try to fix it all.
Piece together the puzzle
Glue it together
And hope it dries before you’re gone.
It might be too late.
I think it’s too late.
There’s no way to fix you,
My porcelain doll.
