Politeness: Born or Learn?

"Excuse me miss, can I help you?"

Have you heard this recently?

It seems as if people can never talk decently.

Is politeness something we are born with or taught?

Or is it having no compassion for humans or thought.

A smile or a holding a door can make much of a difference.

It makes us seem nice, kind, or even have a hint of innocence.

Maybe it's trust issues.

Maybe it's an incident that made that person run for tissues.

It's likely they can't handle kindness,

But politeness is being kind at its finest.
