Poetry is Like a Puzzle
I write because I have a message to say
In poetic diction with little delay
As my emotions are scrawled into tangible code
The dark mist transforms into a road
Soon on track, I see the dazzling light
In the distance, shining bright
Poetry is like a puzzle with abundant possibilities
That leads to more answers than inquiries
More pieces are fitting together
Goodbye to the jungle of inclement weather!
I begin to understand why my mind felt strained
Why I was suffering, why I was pained
This knowledge helps me solve the riddle
I’m no longer stuck in the middle
As always, I figured it out
My senses and my values come about
With confidence and courage, I reach the finale
My written voice transforms into a phoenix, soaring over the valley
