Poetry is my expression 

Poetry is my hope in the world of deep depression

Poetry is my voice when all other words fail

Poetry is my outlet that keeps me from getting into trouble or going to jail

Poetry was my first love

Poetry for a while was all I ever dreamed of

Poetry to this day never left me heartbroken

Poetry spoke up for me when I was soft spoken

Poetry is who I am inside and out

Poetry gave me courage and erased all my doubts

Poetry is my expression and that is why I must write

For a life without poetry would be meaningless and just wouldn't feel right.
