The Plague of A.K.

Does my memory still haunt you?

When I told you the truth

It hit you like a cold shower

Did it put things into perspective?

The memory of you plagues my hear

Thinking of you

Once had brought flutters to my stomach

Now just cold air hangs in correlation with your name

Your actions are lethal

Always leading prey to your advantage

I fell victim

In your aura of deception you manage to reel me in

I pour out my heart

You give me silence

I'm afraid to prod any further

For fear of alienation

In the end that is the inevitable

You are the mistake I regret

December 5th holds a heavy pain

Can I ever forget?

All the danger signs

Yet in my immaturity I failed to see

Young love; a contradiction in its concept

Full of beautiful hope, yet a treacherous and naive path

I never anticipated your reaction

I let my guard down

Losing an important part of myself

I compromised my dignity for your plague

I didn't listen to my inner heart

Now the consequences must be paid

You walk away with an intact heart

I remain to pick up broken pieces left from your virulent actions
