Pile of lies

She trickled on her tip-toes
With words uttering from her mouth
She looked in the mirror everyday
And told herself things that would make her happy
Like tumbling blocks
Her words started to stack high,
But do you remember
What happens when you pile one too many blocks on all of the rest?
An avalanche of regret soon falls to the ground,
And eventually,
She with it.
She always knew
That if she told herself a lie enough times,
She would solemnly believe it.
So that is what she did
And her life was lived with a green sky
And pink grass
As she grew
So far from reality
The truth started to burn like radiantly beaming sunlight
And in the end
She was confused as to what was hurting her the most
She was no longer sure whether it was
The truth
Or
The lies
