A Pile of Bottles

Location

There is a pile of beer bottles in the back of the room.

When he stresses over her, he drinks.

When he gets mad, he beats.

When things dont go his way, the beating and drinking is combined.

The bruises remain.

They will never heal, physically nor emotionally.

I wonder if anyone ever hears the cries, or even hears the screams.

names have been called. Feelings have been hurt.

Hearts have been broken.

in the night the beer bottles would be thrown across the room, followed by the sounds of tears hitting the floorboards.

Following in the footsteps.

The footsteps of a lost soul.

Who wants to be rescued but can never be found.

There are a pile of beer bottles in every room now.

I would change the ending of her story.

So he can be found. Rescued from his hell.

I want him to know that the world is not based around hate, pain and sorrow.

Peoples' lives have been broken by many things that can influence the young to be "ok".

But its not ok.

I purposely made the girl look like the victim, but she is not.

The father was the intended target. The girl was a diversion.

The father has a problem. His heart has been broken, he is an alcoholic and alone.

The little girl is the suspect in this crime.

She is the reason why her mother left, the reason for her fathers distress,.

The girl was not the one being beaten. It never said in the story.

It just said that the bruises remain.

yes the story was told from her point of view, that was the point.

to open the readers mind to the different possibilites.

I would change the life of the father.

I would change the role of the girl.

I would change how the world is today,

if i had the power to influence them,

With my words that act as a voice to the mute.
