A Piece Of My Puzzled Life

Puzzles pieces scattered throughout my mind
Putting myself together takes too much time
Forcing parts together but they just won't bind
Like a poem that just can't find its rhyme
Holding onto what is now already broken
Letting go of the memories within my head
It's like trying to erase something written in pen
A chapter of my life that's already been read
Goodbye to all the times spent laughing
Farewell to the moments spent in tears
The past is no longer in my ears ringing
My life is beginning to finally shift gears
