A Picture of Writing

the picture of the notebook is far too cliché to add into my report about writing.

how the pages fall open just so,

so perfectly that the lines move from blurred to clear and

your eyes settle comfortably on the off-white tone of the paper.

the pen is positioned perfectly,

                just so

so that the lines that are blurred around the pen

and the pen becomes the main focus

there is a cup of coffee that is just visible at the tip top of the image,

lime green, the saucer is more seen than the actual cup-

the cup only seen enough so that you are aware of its presence.

the table underneath the

table and the pen and the cup of coffee that you cannot see

is brown and calming and grained

so, i think this image is too cliché. I need a new header for my writing project, but leaves and flowers and unpaved roads are too much,

and cold cityscapes and blurred lights and detailed kitchens and seething waves are too little.

but the notebook is too cliché. Far too cliché

for my notebook about notebooks and sadness

because the last thing this writing needs

     is more writing.
