Permanent Place

Read it and weep because each one tells a story.

It’s about a journey of a lifetime unraveled.

Each ink stain as it hits the skin with a new tale.

They’re newsprint with its black and white images.

Some of them are bright with vibrant colors.

They pop off the once empty pigmented canvas.

Each image was specifically picked out.

“You know, they’re permanent” they jest.

People will judge you, just like the greatest books.

Each one is a part of you and who you are.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

With that, you’re an award winning novella.

Page by page you are engulfed with spectators.

You are a walking, talking piece of art.

Your arms speak so many fascinating tales.

These are tales that tongues would ache to speak of.

The words aren’t needed, just the pictures.

These are your stories on you and with you forever.
