People like ants

Fri, 05/26/2017 - 06:57 -- Neftee

The world spun as I drove into the sunrise.
Past the the piercing dot of orange light,
Ants drove around in their cars going nowhere
Doing nothing for no one.
I watched the sun rise over the ants on the right.
My joints ache inside this uniform.
Ankles grinding with ankles and toes buried alive.
But all the ants are free outside.
I will not conform, but I do every day.
This hang over doesn't changet that fact.
I'm an unconformist pressed onto a mold.
Lord knows I'm gettimg old.
Sometimes I wish a had a magnifying glass.
One big enough to do the job.
Toast these ants in their cars, so I could stay in bed.
