Off the Pebbled Shore (A Parody from Poe's "The Raven")

Sitting, thinking, while I'm sinking deeper into thoughts unlinking
All my thoughts returning to that memorable pebbled-shore
Happily I'd stand there wishing with the one I now was missing
Oh the heart beat I'd be list'ning hoping it would beat once more
Knowing full well she was gone, the girl I so long did adore
The one I will forevermore

As I sat there weeping, wailing, as i sat there arms unfailing,
Holding her in my arms for, I knew I'd hold her nevermore
Looking out across the sea, I sat there thinking why not me?
Wishing I could only see her deep blue eyes look just once more.
Longing for that moment when, we met beneath that sycamore
That moment cherished forevermore

Others tried to draw me in through spells of lust and guilty sin
Tricks and spells of lifeless lust, the lifeless lust that I ignored
Often in my my nighttime thoughts she comes saying "forget me not"
Trying to speak my voice is caught, a horrible tormentor
Always she is in my heart, even though hers beats no more
For my love for her is forevermore
