The Path Named Nostalgia

Location

Two years fading into memory
years of mending
years of empathy
searching for a remedy.

I behold the world
emit it's year long beauty.
Overcome with many emotions,
euphoria,
uneasiness,
uncertainty,
just to name a few.

As I watch the world
prepare for the process
of resurrecting from the ashes
like I have time and time again
my head journeys
to the path named "Nostalgia".

Along this path;
the moment I first held
my little girl,
and the last.
The day I gave up,
And the day I tried again
The time we watched the sunrise,
and set
on both sides of the mitten.
The day I found independance,
and solitude.

I watch the world,
begin anew.
Sad to see
another year go.
But,
ready to conquer
yet another.
I watch it go
a smirk on my face
joyous with the memories
no one can take.
Delighted,
with to have the ability of more to make.
