THE PASSIONATE REPLY TO THE NYMPH

Flowers bloom and may quickly wilt

But there's still time for our Garden to be rebuilt

I realize time passes and people can change

But let's not leave behind a lonely grange

Rivers will dry up and leave the rocks cold

But we can still enjoy the moment and grow old

Even In difficult times of sorrow

We will seek for a better tomorrow

A new sunrise will appear to vanquish the past

Overcome with joy, you'll forget what just passed

Time may tell how it shall be

As gloomy skies take over seas

The chilled weather may frost your cheeks

But their rosy glow definitely speaks

Like the sun it beats the numb

And I know our love will bring a sweet outcome

I’ll take desperate measures to win your love

And do anything to keep your spirits above

I offer my warmth and many joys

Including delights to fulfill your poise

Love takes time but I will commit

I’ll be patient and not quit

Untruthful I may seem

But what of it, a fool can still dream
