On The Passing of Time
Oh, let me change the passing time,
and say goodbye for one last time.
Let the second last one moment longer,
so that I may wish upon the falling star.
Let the minute stay a while longer,
so that I may outrun the approaching darkness.
Let the hour not fly any further,
so that I may record the fleeing laughter.
Let the day not advance any further,
and let dawn stay to keep dusk away.
Let the months stop altogether,
so that I can stop and remember.
Let the year run eternally,
so that I can stop and see those around me .
Let time stop for just a second more,
and delay the arrival of parting ways.
