Paradox

You are a raging storm

You pick me up and hurl me around

like a tornado and you leave me broken

every damn time.

You're dangerous

yet so beautiful

and I am constantly pulled to you.

He is the sun after the storm

and the calm before it.

He is the smell after the rain,

the feeling of hope.

Brightening my day with his light beauty,

he speaks with roses on his tongue

and radiance in his smile.

The whole world is evident within his eyes

and I would do anything

for a boy like him.

I've never wanted anything

as much as I want to love him

but you have me trapped in your rain

and I've learned to fall in love with your pain.
