Pain

You got it, you have it, you live it;
every day your pain is my pain.
Pain in your knees.
Pain in your back.
Pain between your bones.
A pain in my ass.
A pain in my neck.
Pain that cannot be controlled.
You pop pills to pop pills to relieve the pain, but
the pain is more than you can handle.
The pain of getting up. Getting up with the pain, moving with pain
that corrupts your everyday-
Every day you do it again
to wake up to the pain that doesn’t go away.
You sit there and pray that one day this pain will go away-
Away from your spine.; away from your hands.
The pain that trickles in the night you pray for it to end.
You beg in the name of lord to show you mercy-
Mercy from aches that stretch beneath your bones, beneath your skin, beneath your
muscles. You pray that one day the pain will cease to end,
but until then you do what you do to continue on.
To continue on you continue on with popped pills, aches and pain.
Ankylosing Spondylitis you bitch.

My mom has Ankylosing Spondylitis and I wrote this to spread awareness. Not many people know what this disease is. It is an arthritis disorder that pretty much takes control of your body the pain can be so severe sometimes. This is just a little insight to what my mom goes through.
