Pacific Ocean Whale watching

Wed, 04/25/2018 - 17:09 -- ngopes

When the ferry cruised down North looking for whales,

The fresh Ocean air lingered on the deck.

I came up to the edge of the deck, holding tight on the wet railings.

I felt the rush of fine water mists on my face.

Tiny droplets of water slipped its way down my neck.

The breeze blowing off the ocean raised my hairline.

On the deck, array of colorful flags  waved in the breeze.

The sun streaked through the billowing clouds, sparkling the water waves.

Dolphins splashed shaking their tails above the shiny rolling waves.

Inside, the Captain announced a Blue Whale approaching over the intercom.

Near the railing, People flocked outside.

Spraying water out of its blowholes, the whale just disappeared in the distance.

A tiny chain of jagged rocks outcropped off the shore.

Blue sea and sky met in a perfect horizon.

The smell of salt water and fish, smell of cool ocean breeze,

the shiny water droplets, the deep breath of ocean air,

Everything reminds me of the whale watching cruise.
