Overlap

When the pages of my life overlap,
Like colors, bleeding into one another
Forming an entirely new rainbow.
I don’t know
If I prefer them separate,
Each safe and alone,
Segmented off neatly
Capped off to prevent a spill.
What would happen if someone decided to uncap my paints?
My pains?
Not even I know
What color that would make.
