Our World

Location

Before this time we call now, before the media and reporters told us how, there was a world with tranquil sound. O' how many of us wish to go, to the lands before we had to know. Yet if given the chance to depart, they would simply utter "technology and I cannot be apart". O' Electronics, you push us forward, yet you hold us back. We are more "free", yet everyone can follow your track. We are attached to technological devices, and for that, we pay the ultimate prices. Nothing is private, and everything is seen; the government, making sure their gaze is keen. We try to escape from this world alas it is late, too intertwined with technology, we've sealed our fate. As I sit here, I wonder what it was like, in a world where your only escape wasn't a bike. And no matter how large our desire to leave, we would all miss technology before the first eve.
