I am grateful for my family and friends,

I am grateful for my health and for the roof over my head,

I am grateful for my safety and for those who fight for our freedom,

But for the most part,

I have become grateful for my potential.

It is impossible to place a value on ability and will,

But it is evident that the opportunity to display these qualities is invaluable.

I am lucky to have grown up in an environment where I have not had to struggle,

And I realize that ahead of me, the ends are limitless.

There is nothing that can stand in the way of the chance I have to succeed,

And for that I am forever thankful.
