The Only Escape

She lies alone in her small bed

And sees the painted stars.

Then her pa opens the door

About to give her scars.

A rugged smile across his face

Makes her stomach churn.

She’s aware of what will come.

She’s ‘fraid of its return.

From his pocket he gets a knife-

Long and sharp and pointed.

He plunges the weapon inside her.

Then her crotch turns red.

Once the knife is out of her

He pulls out his next tool.

An instrument that has a flame

That burns his precious jewel.

Though she’s burned and bloody red

He’s far from satisfied.

He pulls out his final device.

The one that makes her cry.

This devil comes from between his legs-

Ready to go through hers.

With a smile wide on his face

He enters her part that burns

After three minutes he’s done

With that part of his feast.

He’s about to start part two

With his next little beast.

This part contains a twisted wire

That leaves its victim’s cut.

He put it up her vagina

Until it reaches her gut.

She closes her eyes extremely tight

Hoping it’s a dream.

Deep inside she knows it not

So she tries not to scream.

When he’s finally done with her

He leaves her cut and sore

She lay in bed still very scared

That he will come for more

Fortunately for the small girl

Her mother makes it home.

She goes to bed with her husband

And the girl hears her moan.

Though it pains her to do so

The little girl walks outside.

She has no desire to play.

Then she begins to cry.

She starts to walk around the yard

While empty, dark, and ‘stray.

Then she surveys the twisted rope

That takes her life away.
