One without the other ...

Job 3:20-21 New English Translation (NET Bible)

20 “Why does God give light to one who is in misery,

and life to those whose soul is bitter,
21 to those who wait for death that does not come,
and search for it
more than for hidden treasures, …

“Who long for death and it does not come?”

Is it flesh or is it spirit that finds itself in this state?

To long for death in spirit is possibly hungering for life?

For the place now promised in its completeness to inherit?

A place without pain and sorrow, one that is guaranteed,

so real and so certain that is ours to claim.

It must be the physical, the mental and the feelings

which stress and strain the mind resulting in no gain.

Yes! It is for certain that wishing to die is real.

So real that it appears the only way out.

Deep inside we know that after the rain comes sunshine

to linger in our presence without interference of a cloud.

An interesting thought what helps creation grow?

Is it constant sunshine or is rain also needed?

Can anything grow without one or the other?

Does it not take the both for the task to be completed?
