It's a one-way glass, this curtain of mine.

I can see them all; their thoughts and their feelings

But they cannot see mine.

I can see their anger, their hope and their disapointment

But they cannot see mine.

I hear every word, I know what they expect, and I know how to give it through this one-way curtain.

I give them what they want, so that they are happy as they are.

Looking at me, through this one-way glass, they see themselves as content as they are

And they believe it is me.

I can see their smile

But they cannot see mine.

And why should they? They are happy, seeing only their reflections labled with my name

They are happy that I am the same as they are

So why would I leave this curtain of mine?

Why would I leave when it would only bring disapointment that I am not them?

I can see their character,

But they cannot see mine.
