One Thousand

A thousand days it took to find you,

To see your beautiful face

A thousand things I would do,

Just to feel your warm embrace.

A thousand miles I’d travel,

Just to see you again, to be with you.

A thousand pieces of gravel,

To count the many things I love about you.

A thousand eyes I look into,

None as breath-taking as yours

A thousand stars twinkle, not nearly as bright as the way your eyes do,

Full of more honesty, knowledge, and wisdom than the clouds can pour.

A thousand times I’ll say I love you,

And every time you’ll see in my eyes that this is true.
