One Step At a Time

Location

My words are a glimpse into my mental state. I'll navigate through your mind like the interstate. My inner rage is due to all the years of all the hate. It's almost more than I can seem to contemplate. My future fate is up to the choices that I make. And see they can't take that away from me or off my plate. You see I'm lying in this bed, yes it's the one that I have made, my sanctum is peace that they can never take. I'm picture perfect with these eyes, they hide the lies that you disguise and you've become the paradise that I despise. I'll never understand the truth or reason why she cries, or why a little more each day she dies. I can't stand on my own I'll give crawling a try. Or maybe just one step at a time.
