One Million and One March

To see how many showed
To see how many smiled
To see the many People
Stretch out a million mile
To see how happy
To see now kind
To see the push for peace of mind
To stand for truth
To stand for justice
To stand for just one spoken promise
To have a dream
Not cause a scene
And walk until we have achieved
No one man’s wish
But one man’s dream
Has brought us here
With many screams
We walked along
We followed stars
We got kicked out
And locked in bars
We never quit
We never ran
We never shift
We always stand
We know what’s right
We know what’s wrong
We only wish to get along
And so we gathered
In one great place
To show the world
That we have faith
No matter what
We stand to fight
We risked the loss
For what was right
And so you see
We won our war
The lives we live
Are so much more
Than what was wished
On that October day
1995 seems so far away
And though that day
Was filled with much
We will never forget
One Million and One March
