One less inquiry

One less inquiry

I read your list but I did not see where I fell

I ask myself could you regale

about an exceptional moment with me?

would your memories all come back and visit you at once, in a trice?

or would they all begin to encircle around you, stalk you like a shadow and have you cower from the refulgent efflux of sun beams?

heedlessly you board up the windows, so there's not even a paltry flicker of light left

while I thirst for you, I dream of you and I cannot stop even if the darkness had enveloped me whole

I wouldn't know how else to live, so please shed some light, my love. Ease in and lull me back to the waning embers of certitude
