One and The Same

Born to a family with religious roots deep,

Something in my life I never had to keep.

Every day I make a choice and every day I choose

To let God in my life, His commandments not refuse.

My religion teaches of charity, love, and hope,

It teaches of eternity and how, with death, to cope.

I know that whatever or whomever I face

I am loved and protected by a Holy Being’s Grace.

A key part of my religion is the family,

We believe we can be sealed for eternity.

My family loves without condition

Regardless of bias, race or religion.

Religion and family have made me who I am.

Can’t have one without the other or me without them.
